Lydia will be leaving town on December 23rd - can deliver orders up until that morning!
I do not charge for my baked goods, and donations are completely optional. Eighty percent of all proceeds from my baking business go to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Silicon Valley, with the remaining 20% covering supplies. Because Brookside Bakery donates 80% of proceeds to Second Harvest Food Bank, many customers ask how much they should give for different items. While donations are always completely optional and appreciated in any amount, here are some general guidelines to help you decide: smaller treats like cookies, brownies, or cupcakes typically receive donations of $2–$4 each, mini cheesecakes and pastries around $4–$6, loaves of bread or babka around $10–$15, and decorated cakes usually fall between $20–$35, depending on size and complexity. Please use these simply as suggestions. Your generosity directly helps fight hunger in our community, and every contribution makes a meaningful impact. Feel free to reach out if you have any further questions!
Every month, I will give 80% of all donations made to Brookside Bakery to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Silicon Valley. Check forum posts and Instagram (@Brookside_Bakery_) for monthly totals!
