I do not charge for my baked goods, and donations are completely optional. Eighty percent of all proceeds from my baking business go to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Silicon Valley, with the remaining 20% covering supplies. Second Harvest provides healthy food to thousands of people across California every month, and I am a proud supporter of the organization. In my last year before college, I hope to make a real difference. Donating in this way allows me to connect baking (something I love) with a cause that strengthens my community, and I encourage others to support their mission, too.
